Linear Moving Head Lights
DLW Linear Moving Head Effect Lights combine the dynamic movement of a moving head with the extended visual presence of a linear LED batten. Designed for concerts, festivals, TV studios, theatres, nightclubs, touring productions, and immersive installations, these fixtures create powerful aerial effects, pixel-mapped animations, wide wash coverage, and kinetic stage looks from a single linear format.

Unlike conventional single-source moving heads, a linear moving head uses multiple LED source arranged in a bar. Each cell can contribute to a continuous beam, segmented chase, pixel effect, or wash output, while motorized tilt—and, on selected models, pan or rotation—adds three-dimensional movement to the lighting design. Moving-head fixtures are generally defined by motorized pan and tilt control that lets users redirect the output remotely during a show.

Dynamic Linear Effects
A linear moving head can function as a beam bar, pixel batten, wash fixture, strobe effect, or scenic lighting element. When multiple units are installed in rows, grids, circles, or custom structures, they can create synchronized wave effects, geometric aerial looks, cascading chases, and large-scale kinetic arrays.

The combination of multi-cell LED control and motorized movement gives designers far more creative options than a static LED batten. A fixture can slowly tilt across a stage to create an architectural light curtain, then switch to rapid chases and strobe effects for a high-energy concert moment.

Key Features

Multiple high-output RGBW LED sources in a linear bar configuration.
Individual pixel for chases, gradients effects, and pixel mapping.
Motorized tilt, pan, or continuous rotation for kinetic lighting effects.
Narrow beam output for sharp aerial lines and visible mid-air effects.
Wide wash output for scenic colour, audience lighting, and stage coverage.
Motorized zoom on selected models for changing the beam angle and field size.
RGBW colour mixing for saturated colours, smooth fades, and white-light options.
High-speed strobe effects for concerts, clubs, and dramatic event cues.
Built-in colour macros and automated programs for stand-alone operation.
DMX512 and RDM control for professional consoles, synchronized programming, and system management.
Strong mechanical construction for touring, rental, fixed installations, and repeated rigging.
Multiple fixtures seamlessly connect together while consistent pixel spacing

Pixel Mapping
Pixel mapping allows a controller or media server to address individual LED cells separately. Instead of displaying one colour across the full bar, each section can generate independent colours, intensities, and timing effects.
For example, a row of linear moving heads above the stage can run a blue-to-white chase from left to right. As the chase reaches the centre, the fixtures can tilt forward together, turning a simple colour effect into a moving curtain of light. This makes linear moving heads particularly effective for concert back walls, festival stages, DJ booths, television scenery, and immersive visual installations.

Applications
DLW linear moving head fixtures are suitable for:
Concert tours, music festivals, and arena stages.
Nightclubs, DJ booths, and dance-floor installations.
Theatre, television, broadcast, and live-streaming studios.
Corporate events, fashion shows, exhibitions, and product launches.
pixel-mapped stage scenery.
Theme parks, cruise ships, and immersive entertainment spaces.
Rental inventories requiring multifunctional, high-impact fixtures.
Architectural interiors, attractions, and creative lighting installations.

Choose a Linear Moving Head
When selecting a linear moving head light, consider LED quantity and wattage, pixel-control resolution, beam angle, zoom range, movement capability, strobe output, fixture length and weight, rigging options, DMX channel count, and power/data connectivity.

For large pixel-mapped systems, also plan fixture spacing, sightlines, lighting-console capacity, DMX universes, networking, and programming workflow. DLW can support lighting professionals, rental companies, distributors, and OEM partners with linear moving head solutions for demanding stage, touring, event, and installation applications.
