1. What is an IP rated moving head light?
An IP rated moving head light is a professional automated lighting fixture designed with weather protection features, allowing it to operate in outdoor environments while providing dynamic beam, spot, wash, or hybrid lighting effects.
2. What does IP rating mean for moving head lights?
The IP rating indicates the level of protection against dust and water. Higher ratings, such as IP65 or IP66, provide better protection for outdoor stage lighting applications.
3. Why choose an IP rated moving head light for outdoor events?
IP rated moving head lights are designed to withstand rain, dust, humidity, and changing weather conditions, making them ideal for outdoor concerts, festivals, stadium events, and touring productions.
4. Are IP66 moving head lights waterproof?
Yes. IP66 moving head lights are protected against dust and strong water jets, making them suitable for demanding outdoor lighting environments.
5. What is the difference between IP65 and IP66 moving head lights?
Both ratings provide strong weather protection. IP66 offers a higher level of water resistance, making it more suitable for harsher outdoor conditions.
6. Can IP rated moving head lights be used in rain?
Yes. Professional IP rated moving heads are designed for outdoor use and can operate in rainy conditions when installed and operated according to manufacturer specifications.
