The Kun Opera "The Butterfly Dream", re-created by Kunqu Theater of Jiangsu Performing Arts Academy, has successfully performed at Zijin Grand Theater on June 9th, 2023. The repertoire obtained the National Arts Fund's in 2023 stage art creation funding project.

In the form of light comedy, it has injected contemporary concepts of equality between men and women. The original work has been reshaped in line with the art rules of Kun Opera.

The Female Tian in the play breaks away from the situation of being stared at in traditional repertoires, showing a female-led, more intelligent, more active, more independent, and more transparent personality.
