Today, we talk about trouble-shooting for the waterproof lighting that can’t be powered on.
First of all, make sure that the plug of the lamp can be energized.
Second, turn on the fixture switch, make sure that the voltage is 220v in normal.
The power supply sequence of the lamp is the current of 220v goes from the 16A plug to the fuse, through the switch, then goes to the transfer hub, and then split one way to the electronic rectifier, another way to the switching power supply.
Third, use the straightforward way to check the continuity of both ends of the fuse, take out the fuse, turn the multi-meter to beep-level, measure at the both ends of the fuse.
If the connection is through, it proves that the fuse is good.
If not, the fuse is burnt and need to be replaced.
Forth, when the fuse is normal, we need to check the continuity of the 16A IP66 plug to the switching power supply.
When the current from plug to the switch power is failure, we need to check if there is any looseness inside the plug, whether the power line is damaged or not, whether the power switch and adapter have any burn marks or not?
If the circuit is normal, we need to turn on the lamp, check whether the power indicator of the power supply is working or not.
If the indicator is not working, we should disconnect the positive terminal, replace the switching power supply.
And if the indicator is normal working, the successor circuit board may have a problem of short circuit.
