At 5th of June, DLW Lighting is proud to participate in the revision of the industry standard Technical Specifications for Moving Head Lighting Fixtures in Performance Venues, reinforcing its commitment to technological innovation, industry collaboration, and the advancement of professional entertainment lighting standards.
The inaugural working meeting of the drafting committee for the revision of the standard was successfully convened in Guangzhou under the leadership of the China Association of Performing Arts Equipment Technology. The meeting marks the official commencement of the standard revision process, representing a significant milestone in strengthening the technical foundation and sustainable development of China's entertainment lighting industry.
As one of the participating enterprises, DLW Lighting is actively contributing its expertise in product development, engineering, manufacturing, and practical application. Drawing upon years of experience in professional stage and performance lighting, the company is supporting the formulation of a more comprehensive, forward-looking, and application-oriented technical standard that reflects the evolving needs of modern performance venues and entertainment productions.
The meeting brought together leading experts and industry representatives, including:
Zhu Xincun, Secretary of the Party Branch and Consultant of the Association;
Liu De'an, Professor of Shanghai Theatre Academy, and Director of the Lighting Professional Committee;
Shi Xiaohong,Professor-level Senior Engineer of the National Lighting Quality Inspection and Testing Center, and Deputy Director of the Standardization Technical Committee;
Wang Jingchi, Professor-level Senior Engineer of China Media Group, and Vice Director of the Lighting Professional Committee;
Zhen Heping, Professor-level Senior Engineer of Beijing Xingguang Chuangyi Technology Co., Ltd., and Vice Director of the Lighting Professional Committee;
Xue Yihua, First-Class Stage Designer of Shanghai Stage Technology Institute and Vice Director and Secretary-General of the Lighting Professional Committee.
Representatives from 15 participating enterprises, including DLW Lighting, attended the meeting to jointly advance the revision work.
The revised standard is expected to establish a unified technical framework for moving head lighting fixtures used in performance venues, covering product specifications, performance requirements, testing methodologies, and evaluation criteria. Upon implementation, the standard will provide a reliable technical basis for product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, inspection, and market assessment throughout the industry.
More importantly, the revision will help guide manufacturers toward higher standards of product design, production management, and quality control, fostering greater consistency, reliability, and innovation across the sector.
