On October 5th and 6th, the dance drama " River Island" jointly created by the Shandong Dancers Association and Shandong University of the Arts was successfully performed at the Shandong Capital Grand Theater. This play was a part of the 13th Shandong Culture and Art Festival. It is a dance drama that reflects the remarkable results of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.
01 Plot introduction
The original dance drama " River Island " tells the story of the life insights accumulated by three young literary and artistic volunteers (directors, screenwriters, and composers) during their in-depth field research and folklore collection. They traced the development and changes of the Yellow River Delta Nature Reserve over the past few decades, and experienced the touching story between an old professor who works in the reserve all year round and the Oriental White Stork, a national first-level protected wild animal. The harmonious coexistence of man and nature explains the endless life of the river continent.
The entire dance drama is based on strong realist care and contains the contemporary value of ecological civilization protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. As the first dance drama in Shandong to use natural ecological protection as its theme, it is expressive, narrative and lyrical. Harmony and unity were achieved. Through artistic stage presentation, it tells the beautiful story of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature in the Yellow River Delta, the youngest land of the Republic, and demonstrates Shandong's responsibility in further promoting ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, providing the audience with It brings a spiritual journey that touches the soul.
