On the evening of September 1st, the National Arts Fund's 2024 large-scale stage drama funding project-Liuzi's opera "Dahe Granary" successfully premiered at the Shandong Theater!
"Dahe Granary" is the first realistic-themed work created by the Shandong Liuzi Opera Art Protection and Inheritance Center (Shandong Liuzi Theater) in recent years, which is of special significance. This play has been selected for the evaluation and performance of outstanding new plays at the 13th Shandong Culture and Art Festival in 2024 organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
Introduction to the play
This play tells the story of a group of young agricultural researchers on the saline-alkali land at the mouth of the Yellow River who kept in mind the mission of the times, the dream of granaries, and the instructions of their predecessors. They overcame difficulties and shed their sweat on the vast saline-alkali land, using the power of technology and knowledge. Firm belief and vowed to transform the barren saline-alkali land into thousands of acres of fertile land, a story of transforming the salt-alkali land on the Yellow River into the granary of the river. A road full of difficulties and never-ending agricultural scientific research, a dream pursuit journey spanning more than 70 years for three generations, and a simple dream of turning the salt-alkali land at the mouth of the Yellow River into the granary of the river.
